Where has September gone?

I blinked and it is already October!?! Oh my stars, what happened????

So MUCH has gone on this last month. We got to participate in two of the new church celebrations (a total of 5 will have been built by the end of this year) in Kenya before we flew back to the States.

Once we landed, we stayed one night in Houston thanks to our extended family who picked us up from the airport. Then came in on the 13th. We had a baby shower on the 14th, where we totally got to surprise both friends! We shared briefly at our home church on the 15th. We got to celebrate our oldest son’s birthday with him that week. Yay!

We’ve had a couple dinners and lunches with friends and family. We have had a couple of medical appointments where it was confirmed that Billy needs surgery on his back, and shopping for two vehicles! Yep, two. One for Billy & I, and one for our youngest, Nikolas, since he will be remaining in the States. Oh and we got to babysit for a couple of hours.

We have also been able to visit 3 of our supporter churches. We love, love getting to see our church families! Plus, I was able to join Journey Fellowship for a women’s conference on the 21st.

As an added bonus, I got to attend a baby shower for my daughter-in-law!! Oh my heart!! I’m excited for this new chapter!

We have had the opportunity to share at a couple of small groups and Bible studies also. We have enjoyed meeting new friends and seeing many familiar faces! Plus, I got the chance to participate in drive thru prayer at our home church one afternoon. I love getting to pray for others.

We have a partner church hosting a fundraiser for our ministry October 6th, so we have been getting everything ready and will be in a “baking whirlwind” this weekend! We get to be a part of two vendor events! one at Cibolo Valley Baptist Church on October 19th from 10-2pm, and the other is at Everyday Christian Fellowship on December 13-15th from 6-8pm nightly. We are trying to get everything ready behind the scenes for these amazing community events!

Are you tired yet? I am tired all over again! Haha

So to say that time flew, is definitely an understatement! We felt very busy, but for a purpose.

But seriously, is it nap time?

Through all of the busyness, God has shown up. We have had friends offer their vehicles for us to get to all of these places. We have had chances to reconnect with old friends. I even got to see one of the gals from our old youth group volunteering days! He has provided rest, even in the “chaos”. He has used others and His Word to provide hugs from Heaven all along the way. And our son found and purchased his first vehicle! Woohoo!!

September might be gone, but October is here and will hold it’s own blessings!!
