What happened to October?

Wow, October was FULL!

We have had a fundraiser to kick off the month. We then had an appointment for me and I had the opportunity to attend a women’s away retreat.

Billy’s surgery was scheduled for near the end of the month. Upon receiving his pre-op lab results, we learned that the surgery was going to be rescheduled.

On top of the surgery to alleviate Billy’s pain, the surgeon wanted to install a small device that aids in keeping the disc from reherniating.

We were told this device was going to cost $38,000.00 due up front. This was in addition to the cost for the surgery.

We reached out to our prayer warriors to start praying!

Billy and I emailed the manufacturer of the device, and he called often to try to speak to the representative.

After 2 weeks, we found out that the cost was a miscommunication and it would be $3,800. (Yay!) But the rep said that he was still going to send it up the chain of command to see what, if anything, they could do.

Well, God definitely showed up!!

The device is going to be free of charge!

The pre-op tests redo went SO good and surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning (11/4).

So while it was hard to see Billy suffer in pain for 3 additional weeks, it allowed for this miracle to take place. While we didn’t know how everything was going to come together financially, God took care of it!

In even greater news, our granddaughter was due on the same day as Billy’s surgery, and our hearts were a bit torn about not being able to be there for our son and daughter. Well, precious Olivia decided to come early and was released from the hospital before the surgery date.

We are grandparents now! And we are SO proud of our kids.

We serve a God of details!

So what happened to the month of October? So many things!! God things!!

God showed up!! He moved and made a way!!

November is already starting off a bit busy, but we know that God has a plan for us!

No doubts that this month will also be full of opportunities for God to show His goodness!
