Who Are We?

Honestly, we are nobodies. We aren’t special. We don’t have a TV show, play professional sports, or seem to be famous. I don’t write that to sound humble. We sometimes daily ask Him why us. The thing is…Number One, We just have Jesus, which makes us children of God. And the real truth is that it’s taken us a long journey to feel and believe that statement. Not because of Him, but because of us. Number Two, We are willing to GO. We believe that God has placed a call on us to be used for His work in the country of Kenya. That’s it. We are living proof that God can use anybody. But if you’ve read this far you definitely deserve to know a little bit about our family: 

It can be said that this family runs on Jesus, lots of coffee, and tacos! 

Billy and Heidi started their journey together after knowing each other for almost 10 years… In the summer of 2002, they finally dated for a day, were engaged for two months and were married on August 16, 2002. Kinda of a whirlwind…Only by the Grace of God. Their oldest, Brody, joined the family in September of 2003. Nikolas joined the crew in July of 2006. It’s been a crazy ride ever since. 

We have served in various areas of ministry since prior to marriage, after, and continue to do so with our two sons at Crosspoint Fellowship, where we currently call our church home.

In early 2017, God started drawing Heidi’s heart to Africa. She finally opened up to Billy about what she felt God was laying on her heart. She simply said I feel like I am supposed to go to Africa. Billy responded, Go for it. If God is calling you, then you need to do it and He will provide for it.” In the manner of a month the funds were provided for the trip, and She and her friend Jenniffer left for Kenya in September to spend two weeks with Billy and Darlene Honc of AHKI.
