Update #1: Last month, we mentioned that we needed a few supplies; a cooler, a compressor, and a generator. I am happy to share that we were able to purchase both the cooler and the compressor thanks to your generosity.
So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!
Update #2: In last month’s blog, I ended with “Stay tuned because an INCREDIBLE opportunity is coming!!” Ready?
We get the opportunity of building a church!!
Here is the condensed version…
While on the camping mission in February, we visited a village to preach the gospel and hand out a solar audio Bible. The elder man of the village was named Parkare Soyiantet. Some may have seen that picture in February’s newsletter of Billy kneeling in front of this elder to speak directly to him..
Parkare was and still is resistant to accept Jesus as Savior. However, he was spotted with the solar audio Bible playing loudly shortly after. He still wasn’t ready to accept Jesus’ gift of salvation, but he did allow the team to show the “Jesus Film” on his land the next camping mission. He even offered and donated milk from his livestock for the chai that was going to be provided to all who came. If you want to know more of the story, read last month’s newsletter and/or blog post.
Guess what?!? That same man on his own accord is donating an acre of his land for a church to be built!!
But God!
The Holy Spirit is working on his heart. Please continue to pray for him. The truth is that just like in the States, if the father of a family accepts Christ there is a high likelihood that the rest of the family will as well.
Here are the details: The church will cost $7,000.00 to build. That price includes concrete for the floor, materials for the roof and walls, AND a rain-water collection tank! It will also cover 6 months of the pastor’s salary, while the church gest established.
God challenged us further though! We want to be able to give this church chairs! Stephanie found some adult chairs for about $12 per chair and kid chairs for $5 per chair.
Would you consider joining us for an opportunity that can have a Kingdom impact for generations to come? Together we can do it!
