THE BIBLE
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were led by the Spirit to write the words of Scripture. The Bible is without error and is the absolute source of truth to live by.
(2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:13)
GOD
We believe in one eternal triune God, who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). God has always existed, created all things, and rules all things.
(Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians. 4:4-6).
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus by Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was fully God and fully man. We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the only basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.
(Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25)
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit has been eternally active in this world, and draws men to repentance, convicts us of sin, and guides and comforts the children of God. The Holy Spirit directs and empowers the church in fulfillment of the Great Commission, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement.
(Romans 8:11)
MAN
We believe in the creation and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness. Since then, all human beings are born with a corrupted nature and without spiritual life and are under the wrath of God because of their sin.
(Romans 3:10-18; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23 )
SALVATION
We believe that there is only one way to salvation, and that is through Jesus Christ. It is by grace that men are saved through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross by which we obtain remission of sins and the promise of eternal life. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the grave, you will be saved.” – Roman 10:9
Salvation is not earned. It is a gift of grace by God the Father, through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
(John 3:16; John 14:6 Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 3:22-23; Romans 5:8; Romans 5:11; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9–10; Romans 10:13; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost and deceived.
(1 Cor. 12:12-27: Matthew 22:36-40; Matthew 28:19-20)
